10:46 PM - Bogut's NBA campaign comes to a unpleasant finish
Australian star Andrew Bogut's NBA season seems over and his globe
championship prospects are in further doubt after he suffered a
broken correct hand and dislocated elbow in a sickening fall. The
Milwaukee Bucks exposed the extent of Bogut's injuries on Sunday
following hospital tests after the 213cm-tall centre crashed to the
floor when lightly bumped by Phoenix's Amare Stoudemire while
hanging around the rim following dunking in Saturday's house win.

Teammate Brandon Jennings stated following the game that he saw
Bogut's elbow pop out. Further testing and imaging at Aurora Sinai
(Health-related Center) showed that Andrew sustained a dislocated
correct elbow, a sprained correct wrist along with a broken right
hand, said Milwaukee's common manager John Hammond. He was released
from the hospital and no timetable continues to be determined for
his return. National coach Brett Brown has spoken with Bogut
because but said it was as well early to speculate on how the
injuries could impact his availability for the globe championships
in Turkey in August. Brown stated he watched Bogut's fall in shock
and sympathised with the large man, who will miss the chance of
being part of a Bucks' charge via the NBA playoffs. Really in the
minute you're caught up in news and what it indicates for Andrew
personally, Brown stated. When you really see the fall, I feel like
I hit the floor with him. It is just so disappointing for him. It's
a tragic twist for Bogut who was getting the very best season of
his NBA career following missing 46 video games last season having
a back injury. The Bucks are often 1 of the ugly ducklings with the
NBA, but with Bogut averaging a career-high 15.9 points and ranked
No.2 in the NBA in blocked shots, they appeared headed towards the
playoffs with just six video games left within the regular season.
Prior to Saturday's ugly fall Bogut only gave himself a 50 per cent
chance of suiting up for Australia in Turkey as he was
contemplating utilizing the NBA off-season like a time to let his
back recuperate. Bucks management was also putting pressure on
Bogut to miss the world championships. Stoudemire was booed by
Bucks fans and called to get a foul after the incident, even though
video replays showed he made only light contact. The fans didn't
have a clean view of what occurred, Stoudemire stated. But I
believe once they see the replay they'll see that there was nothing
intentional. Bogut's teammate Jennings said he didn't think
Stoudemire was attempting to hurt Bogut. Amare does not seem like
that type of person, Jennings stated. I think it was just an
accident. AAP;The most popular online
