7:19 PM - Dos

I woke up quite late this morning which is what I really didn't want to do, by the time I'd forced myself out of bed at 12 I realized what a state the house was and with company expected I spent a lot of the morning doing that.

During which I kept jumping back on the computer to work on my new personal website (with links to development tuts and my projects).

Had quite a nice dinner today too, Sunday dinner that my Sister decided to make. I couldn't even manage it all! After that I indulged in a tub of Ben&Jerry's (Come'on... everyone needs it once in a while!).

About 4PM I realized it was... 4PM. So I decided to get back to work (this can mean two things - websites related to my freelancing or websites which get me ad revenue). Today it ment the latter and I worked quite a bit on my clan's website. Upon that I decided to work on my RuneScape tool's, well, the array of the them. I posted links to some of my work in BETA/development on my clan's forums too, hoping for them to spot some bugs and have some nice feedback for my stuff.

My friend contacted me earlier for a site he wanted making, Flyff based website. I feel optimistic about this one, he already has a large userbase on his current forum/website (it's poor) so once I've made this for him I'll whack a few Google ads on there, so the time is an investment - I hope - and if not.. at least I'm helping a friend. Either way, it's another site to the bunch and it's just about completed already, I used a CMS for it and have modded it appropriately.

I also attached Google Analytics to more of my websites, it's a great tool and I realized I wasn't really utilizing it enough. This makes me think.. I should look at all the Google webmaster tools - Adsense, Adwords and Analytics are all amazing for developers I'm sure they have lots more useful stuff.

I've sent a few emails to potential customers but I'm not so confident I'm going to get those jobs, they have their eyes on another freelance, who - to give him credit - has a far better portfolio. It reminds me I really need to work on mine and get more added to it. Since most of my work I did whilst I was employed for a web development firm as a junior developer so I can't really use those in my portfolio. I'll get in built in the foreseeable future anyhow.

I upgraded the SMF install on my clans forum and ran the built in maintenance task hoping it will make a difference to speed, apparently not.

Lastly today I worked on Warzu/WarzuHome which I'll unveil at a later date, I didn't do much but I'm on the right tracks at least now.

I should really get to bed soon, I'm going to meet a friend tomorrow and I still want to squeeze in a lot of web development too. Maybe a little bit of gaming too.

5:36 PM - Hola

Seeing as the user Geo was free I thought I'd register another account on here.

I had one a while back to my shame I was quite a bit more stupid back then.

I supposed I wanted to start using this account as something to do, and maybe just 'express' and if that don't work at least we're speeding up my typing speed eh - much more and my G19 will be on fire. Maybe in the future this will be something nice to look back on, as long as I update it this time!

Today I've been working a lot on my freelancing portfolio - at the moment I just have a splash screen on my website which really isn't prefrable so I want to get the new site and portfolio completed as soon as possible. But, it's not like I can dedicate all my time to that.

I've currently got a couple of clients that want 'mockup' sites before they decide and another couple in the pipeline - whilst designing a website for my Brother's Wife new business. So I am quite busy.

Then outside of business I'm running Solemn Hour (http://www.solemnhour.info) and dedicating a lot of time into the new website with some cool features and hopefully RuneScape high score tracking features soon, eventually spanning into a full blown fansite. Whilst developing a personal website for my mate in there.

I have a couple of personal project 'ideas' in the pipeline which I'll probably talk about later, seeing as I haven't done much more for them than write a few ideas down, nothing developed as of yet.

I hope to relax a bit more tommorow considering it's Sunday, maybe I'll get chance to jump on RuneScape or my Xbox - but I'm on a tight schedule until Monday, I have 2 mocks to send through then - and then a couple of potential customers to chase up.

Well I think now I'm going to finish a little on my portfolio before I get off to bed.
