Step One: Download the iOS 5 firmware files for the first
generation of iPad and download the following modified version of
redsn0w.

Step two: Run redsn0w, choose Jailbreak, make iPad into DFU mode.
Step three: Deselect Install Cydia, which is not to jailbreak, and then select the Enable multitasking gestures. Then follow redsn0w's prompt steps.
After completion, there will be multitasking gesture and image display options in iPad settings.
