3:23 AM - MacBook Air Will Feature Retina Display just Like MacBook Pro and iMac?
The new iPad features Retina display, so it's very good to
rip dvd to
ipad to watch HD movies, but do you think iPad is the only
iDevice that equipped with Retina display, of course not, according
to the latest rumor, MacBook Pro and iMac will have Retina display,
which we know about that, so how about MacBook Air, is it on the
list too? According to 9to5Mac, the answer is positive.
Even the status of MacBook Air is not that important as
MacBook Pro, but this time, Apple decides to treat them equally, so
MacBook Air will be getting a retina display, too. That, for those
of you following along at home, means that all the major products
in Apple's Mac lineup - MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac - will
be getting the same retina display treatment that the iPad got back
in March.
There is a big chance that MacBook Air won't have an obvious
improvement in design, but Apple is reported to be working on new
11.6 inch and 13.3 inch MacBook Air models. And it's said that Air
will get Ivy Bridge processors, and better graphics technology
needed to handle Retina-level resolutions. Batteries will also
allegedly get an upgrade, much as the third-generation iPad did,
owing to the extra power consumed by high pixel densities.
But we won't see the next generation MacBook Air in WWDC next
month, because Apple is still working on the unfixed problems of
Air, including a Retina display (and more powerful internals to
handle it) poses a significant challenge both in terms of heat and
power consumption for the device. So unlike the MacBook Pro, which
is expected to launch at WWDC, we may need more time to see new
Air.
So until WWDC, I guess Apple won't tell anything to media, at
least the official statement, but from all kinds of signs, some of
us can forecast a little, like the new operating system running on
the MacBook Pro - Mountain Lion - could come to us in less than a
month. In June, we'll know if all these rumors are true or not, but
the Air we are talking right here, we just need to continue
guessing.
Whether the retina display will come to all these computers
in all their size variations, nor whether there will also be
(cheaper) non-retina display models available, nor how much a
retina display Mac will cost, we still know nothing, but
considering Retina display can give us more excellent feeling to
watch movies or play games, which has been improved on iPad if you
have tried to
put
movies on ipad. Nevertheless, assuming these reports are
accurate, then this year's WWDC should offer quite a lot to look
forward to.
After less than a month, we'll know everything about new
Apple devices, even there won't be much information about Air, but
still we are looking forward to it.
