Mac users are lucky, especially when they need to create their own PDF files, because Mac can create PDF files without any additional software, which is very convenient for users who need to use PDF files in work or just to meet personal needs. If you haven't tried to make PDF on Mac, then keep reading.

Why Mac would add this built-in function? Simply, because the application of PDF files is more and more extensive, especially as a file transfer medium, PDF is more popular than other formats, like word and so on, what advantages does PDF have to let itself become the main tool to fun files. Then let's see the basic information about PDF, first from its name. PDF is short for Portable Document Format. We can see its features and functions from the name. Portable, which means it certainly can support most portable devices, with the fast development of handheld devices, especially the popular Apple devices, PDF is needed more than ever. It's very convenient to read magazines, files and eBooks in PDF format.

When using PDF files on Mac, it's more convenient than Windows, if want to create PDF files on Windows, we need a pdf creator, however, on Mac we can use the built -in function to do that. Now let's see how to do it.

Step1. Open the files you want to save as PDF. Here, you are allowed to run the application which the PDF files will be used as the basis. For example, if you want to make a PDF document and sent to others by e-mail, just press the "Mail" of your Mac computer.

Step2. On the toolbar of the document, you will find a "File" button, choose it and select the "Print" icon to move on.



Step3. Find the "PDF > Save as PDF" button. Then you can choose a folder of Mac computer to keep your new-made PDF files. Rename your PDF files in the "Save As" text box. Then hit "Save" to convert the file to PDF directly.

When the process is done, just double-click the created PDF files and it will be automatically opened.

If you want to keep your PDF files being under password protection, just choose the "Encrypt PDF" and input a password. Also you may save document in PDF-X format by choosing "Save as PDF-X". After create the PDF files, if knowing how to convert pdf to html, you can share your PDF files via web pages, after all sometimes, we don't want to share the whole files with others, so via HTML pages, we have a choice to decide which part to share with.

Especially for new Mac users, they may don't know that Mac computer is a PDF creator itself, so don't bother to search any kind of this software on Internet.
