3:25 AM - The Share of iPad Is Increasing in SMBs
With no doubt, the status of Apple in big businesses is
incomparable, let's see, iPad is always the first choice when those
companies decide to utilize Tablet as office supply. But Apple
wants more than this, so they continue to extend their occupancy in
small-to-medium-sized businesses, and they succeed. According to
iGR, more and more small businesses begin to use iPad run business.
When individual plans to buy a Tablet, he only considers the
price and fashion, which means iPad could be the first choice, when
companies are ready to buy Tablets to run business, they also
consider two things, price and functions. If they don't want to buy
the newest iPad, then the price is totally acceptable, as to
functions, we not only can download
free
movies for iPad to watch them, but also do lots of works in
business, so the vast majority of those interested in a tablet only
want one -- the Apple iPad -- according to a new study by wireless
and mobile market research consultancy iGR.
Apple has been trying to enlarge the influence in SMB, after
all, that's also a big market, so Apple has to ensure that when
those SMBs plan to buy Tablets, iPad will be the first product that
comes to their minds. And I think the search result from iGR won't
disappoint them. The survey, by iGR, shows that about a quarter
(24%) of SMBs supply their employees with tablets as part of an
official policy. While tablets are often positioned as augmenting
laptops and PCs, 26% of the SMBs surveyed indicated their company
would be buying fewer or far fewer laptops as a result of their
tablet purchases, and iPad occupies a large share. Of course, 47%
of respondents said they use their tablets for both business and
personal reasons, personal reasons only can mean to have fun with
iPad, like watching movies with
dvd to ipad
converter or playing games.
Then why do SMBs focus on Tablets more often? The most
reported reason for purchasing additional tablets in 2012 was
"substituting for laptops" (31.9%), followed by "workforce is
increasing" (31%). 55% of SMBs managed and maintained tablet
devices, so this is definitely good news for Apple. But the change
is not easy to make, even iPad has been used in many industries,
including schools, governments, airlines and so on, but to make it
become the main tool in business needs more time, the majority of
companies with plans to buy tablets indicated that their plans to
purchase notebooks remained about the same. IT departments surveyed
were likely to oversee the purchase, management, maintenance and
support of desktop computers (90%), and laptops and netbooks (89%).
Even the situation is very tough for iPad to dominate
small-to-medium-sized businesses, but the opportunity is still
there, it's just Apple needs to try harder and uses the different
marketing mode, like Lion Server, which is a very good method, if
Apple can think more good ideas like this, I think iPad will be the
first choice for SMBs too.
