12:00 AM - Only 1 hour left on Pfizer Time

Oh yipee, then I have 1 hour "me" time. I need to drop off the insurance payment, pick up some quick dinner and go to Sears. I will work for 4 hours. Mostly on the computer I suspect. I just want to get through the stupid training program.

All of my things are ready for the white box, I just need a "white box" now. I want to add glitter to my white box.

I have my iPod now. Life is good.

4:58 AM - Ahh, the chaos of life

Life is chaos. I'll be starting a new job on Tuesday. My last day at Pfizer is tomorrow. :-)

6:30 AM - Enjoy the chaos

Ok, a run down of my week.

1. Class tonight.
2. Need to complete problem set for algorithms class.
3. Need to study for exam in theory of computation.
4. Complete Maple Tutorial, make proposal. (in the process, must use force to get a password out of the sys admin at western)

1:55 PM - You've got the "click of death"

If you have never come across the "click of death" you have never worked tech support. The click of death is when a harddrive starts making a horrible, constant clicking sound and a BSOD, crash, unhappy mac follows...

You have been warned.

1:38 PM - Hey, hey you're getting a pay cut

Two happy surprises for the day!

1) We might go 24x7 for a few days. Pray that the hurricane doesn't go as north as New Jersey.

2) We're being forced to take a pay cut. Does the phrase "blow me" mean anything these days?

5:42 AM - Airborne Express is Evil

I just spoke with Airborne Express. They informed me that the package has not be picked up. I asked them why their website said the package had been picked by Airborne on the 11th and Apple was reporting they sent the package on the 11th. Then the representative said "well call back in a hour, because we don't have all of the scans from Kalamazoo yet." Ok, so you do have my iPod, but you're slow as shit. Thanks for the clarification.

I will call Apple on my lunch and report that 1) Airborne claims they haven't received the package yet and 2) this ain't 2 day service.

5:00 AM - Digital logic, school work, and various other distractions

I finally got hold of my boss at Sears. She gave me the wrong number. ::growls::

I need to call Airborne and rip them a new one during my break.

I'm trying to get my school work done before I get out of work so that I can look at Luke's digital logic book. I have a feeling that I might be learning some digital logic in the process.

8:21 AM - Ok, this is a stupid warning

I bought some Snapple Element drinks for my morning classes. There's a picture warning you not to lick the bottle. Why? Who has looked at a snapple bottle and thought "wouldn't that be great to lick"?

Wait I answered my own question. A three letter name popped into my head. Actually multiple three letter names.

7:09 AM - Insert your own subject

My class this morning was a bit morning, however it became clear that I needed to order a copy of Maple 9. I will need to spend quite a bit of time on the programming project and I don't have time to go to campus computer labs. Anyway I much rather work on my own computer.

I need to get in contact with my Sears boss. I'll try calling her again on my break. If I don't reach her, I will have to go to the HR office and leave her note. The whole situation there is starting to piss me off.

Note to self: talk to Luke about anonymous comments.

8:05 AM - Written problem sets suck

I really hate writing problem sets. I'm working on a particularly fun one for my algorithms course. My break is in a few minutes.

I decided I really don't like how my theory of computation professor handles "bad" recitations in class. I think he comes off as a little harsh. I mean Dr. Fink was better about handling "wrong" answers or confusing proofs done by students. I shouldn't try to judge this guy so soon. Maybe it's the fact I'm having the class in the morning.

On a happier note, my iPod should arrive shortly. It was sent by Airborne yesterday. They're estimating it will arrive today. Airborne is usually right. :-)

This site is coming along.

12:45 AM - Calling all angels...

I'll only be at work for a few more minutes. I'm rather tired. I think I have an exam on Monday in CS 580. Of course, my professor hasn't said a word about the exam.

Today this same professor actually told us to be brief when describing complex, math proofs. We're all supposed to just "know" the basics. When I end up doing one of these recitations, I will expect to be brief but be prepared to answer questions.

I figured out what the problem I am looking at for my algorithms class is. Dr. Nelson is having us prove the master method for finding order.

My iPod is supposed to ship today. :-)

9:06 AM - Three day weekend

I am really enjoying this three day weekend. I finished reading chapter one for my theory of computation course. I need to balance the checkbook, update my laptop and organize my binder for my class. I want to create a section for reading notes, lecture notes and various handouts.

6:00 AM - Need a nap

Luke and I bought our books. I had to buy two books, an algorithms book and one titled "Machines & Languages." If the classes weren't required, I wouldn't be taking them.

I need to test Firebird on my Mac this week. I'm thinking about creating a sample database based on my community database design.

Luke's starting to get frustrated by the fact very few people are updating their journals. I can't argue with him entirely.

10:22 AM - Purple....

My journal is purple now. Also I discovered why someone at work calls their car the "gay little thing." It's a Ford Focus.

I get to buy books today! Learning is afoot.
