7:15 AM - No use worrying about 10% of life

A team lead at work sent out a little story about the 90/10 of life. The idea is that we can't control 10% of life, the other 90% is our reaction.

This morning I was a little disappointed about my job search. Then after reading that little e-mail, I cheered up. I realized that there's a reason I didn't get this job or that job. I just have to be patient and stay focused.

During the last few days, I have done some work to remove negative energy out of my environment. I feel much better and truly focused on the current issues.

I'm happy to hear that Ben has a job interview on Friday. Regardless of other sentiments I could express, I truly wish him the best.

I updated my website yesterday. Today I have to take Henry to the vet for a check-up and a vaccine. I've looked at some job opportunies and have been re-thinking my job plan.

Tonight I need to do something fun.

9:36 AM - Stupid headhunters

Ok, I don't know how many of you have dealt with head hunters. Some recruiters are wonderful, others are complete morons. Take this recent dialogue I had with one:

Recruiter: "Hello this is from . I don't know what position you applied for but I thought we could discuss possibilities."

::first thought, you don't know what job I applied to?::

This guy did not read my resume. He proceeded to ask me if I went to college, had a job, what I did, where I worked. Now I sent my resume to this recruiting firm so it wasn't some weird guy calling. He knew I applied to something in IT. Very bright guy. Yeah, he's a star recruiter. lol.

I have to laugh about this guy.
