4:38 AM - 'True Blood' season 3 coming into Blu-ray
Introduction of 'True Blood'
True Blood is an American television drama series created and
produced by Alan Ball. It is based on The Southern Vampire
Mysteries series of novels by Charlaine Harris, and details the
co-existence of vampires and humans in Bon Temps, a fictional,
small town in the state of Louisiana. The series centers on Sookie
Stackhouse (played by actress Anna Paquin), a telepathic waitress
at a bar, who falls in love with vampire Bill Compton. The show is
broadcast on the premium cable network HBO in the United States.
HBO's "True Blood" rises from the grave of last year's uneven
season, smarter, spookier and sexier than before.
The first season received critical acclaim and won several
awards, including one Golden Globe and an Emmy. The show's second
12-episode season had its premiere on June 14, 2009 and the third
season on June 13, 2010. On June 21, 2010, HBO renewed True Blood
for a fourth season, set to debut on June 26, 2011.
Today there is a piece of good news for us is that in
anticipation of the season 4 premiere, they're giving away 10

The Details of 'True Blood'
"At the end of season three, Sookie was taken away, as we
know, by the fairy queen," explains Stephen Moyer, who plays
vampire Bill Compton in the HBO series. "And so we know that that's
very possibly where she may be, as without giving much away. And so
we may begin the episode with that."
"Sookie has some adventures in Fairyland," Anna Paquin
reveals playfully about the character she plays. "Sookie has some
personal life adventures. Sookie ends up in danger. Sookie ends up
in more danger. Sookie somehow ends up narrowly escaping getting
killed on various occasions, as usual. You know, it's just an
average day in Bon Temps."
The show is shown in 50 countries worldwide. "You know, it's
a really fun show that, even though it's based in a very specific
part of America, I feel like these sort of ideas that get dealt
with are very sort of universal and thematically interesting on
deeper levels," Paquin says. "It's not just about vampires. There's
always a bigger idea at play."
