said: A win versus defending champions Reading Rockets is an
outstanding achievement for our new team. This shows a lot about
our team toughness and our players character. They really refused
to lose. The Filton-based outfit followed up their league win with
a 81-79 victory over Taunton Tigers in the National Trophy to make
it through to the quarter-finals. The Flyers stormed into a 58-34
lead at half-time but then took their eye off the ball and were
trailing 79-78 with less than a minute on the clock. It was
American Doug Mclaughlin-Williams who sunk a big two-point shot
from the corner to give Bristol their second win in two days.
